Ewww!

All the snow has melted in our yard....finally! Check out what we found all around the base of one of our garden borders. This little garden hedge has been the home of a small mouse I think all winter long. All those little pellets are poop! Gusting! (as calvin would say). Needless to say, it was hard to keep my boys from investigating the poop pellets closely. Why do boys find this kind of stuff so fascinating anyway?

haha. Such a crew of scientists you have. You should squish one and see what you can see under a microscope!

haha

Oh my goodness! Some things are better left unsaid and unshown, haha. I wonder what that is? It looks too big for mice! Or else these mice have found a big supply of winter food! I wonder what would be found in their poop if you should dig them apart to see? ha! This is what Bernd Heinrich found fascinating. He could see what animals and birds were eating to survive.

Maybe you have some little Bernd Heinrich's coming up in this world?
