It snowed so much! Here is what we did with the foot of snow we got at our house. The kids and I went and sculpted our family portrait. The likenesses are so amazing! First in the line-up is Chris, our trailblazer. Then comes me who is really trying to keep her cool on while little Rae Rae is screaming...again. Next comes Tucker who is showing off his guns, woo baby! Gunner has a terrific smile while giving bunny ears to Calvin who has found something very interesting in his nose. I had to also include a close-up of the boys. Aren't they so good looking?

Chris went to Seattle last night to visit his family and be there for his Grandma's birthday. His Grandparents just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary, too! That is so awesome. So me and the kids are looking forward to some fun times with just Momma. Any suggestions you may have please send my way!

For Crying Out Loud!

I spoke too soon I think. It started snowing about 8 o'clock this morning, and it is still snowing. Big thick flakes. If it wasn't so beautiful I think I would be pretty depressed. I brought Raegan to the back door to look at the snow with me, looks like she was having about the same kind of reaction that I was. Cutiepie! Well, maybe we'll get one last day of snowmen and sledding in before springtime.

Ewww!

All the snow has melted in our yard....finally! Check out what we found all around the base of one of our garden borders. This little garden hedge has been the home of a small mouse I think all winter long. All those little pellets are poop! Gusting! (as calvin would say). Needless to say, it was hard to keep my boys from investigating the poop pellets closely. Why do boys find this kind of stuff so fascinating anyway?

On Saturday we celebrated Gunner's birthday. He turned 6 years old! My little man is growing so fast. sniff, sniff. We had a fun party with a lot of kids, a pinata, BBQ, cake and ice cream, etc. and we had a gorgeous day to go with it!

It was his cousin's birthday too. A.J. was born on the same day as Gunner, three hours after him. My sister was in my room during my labor, helping. I guess she had some sympathy pains like you wouldn't believe! Anyways, our midwife had a busy day that day.

Friday night we took Tucker and Gunner to Cirque of dreams, jungle fantasy. It was really cool! I would describe it as Alice in Wonderland meets the Jungle book. Both of the boys loved it. The acrobats, contortionists, balancing acts were all so amazing and the costumes were so neat and colorful.

This morning I woke up to my dog barking at some moose that have been making regular visits to my front yard. I took this picture the other day. This is this years calf, I think. He is very small, he would have followed me right into my house if I let him! I thought that the mother had died because she wasn't around but after I had taken a bunch of pictures and video and gone back inside the house, she came strolling around the Suburban. They like to nibble at the goodies in my garden. I have crabapple trees that line our driveway that are encased in fencing material in the winter, otherwise they would be chewed down to stumps I suspect. It kind of resembles a prison camp of sorts when you drive up to our house.

So I was visiting my Mom's blog today and saw this little quiz on her blog. I am a colon! Woo Hoo...I think! Sounds kinda gross.
I worked on my basket some more last night. It is coming along. Slowly but surely. Mom, Marie, and Calli all finished theirs. Gunner's birthday is on Saturday and everyone will be here for dinner so I am trying to get mine done before then. I'll post a picture when it is finished.
Gunner will be turning 6 years old. He wants to go to Chucky Cheese (gag!), and then have a pinata at home afterwards, and then go swimming at H2Oasis. Haha. He has some big plans for Saturday.
I have 9 weddings that I am planning this year so far. It has been alot of fun for the most part. Sometimes the logistics part of the planning gets tiresome for me but the creative part is always exciting. Chris says he knows when I am thinking about a wedding because I always get a certain look. He can see my brain wheels turning! Right now I am brainstorming ways to dress up a cute little jar of homemade jam as favors for a wedding.
I am homeschooling my boys, today is test day for Tucker who is in first grade. It has been pretty great homeschooling them so far. Chris and I decided to take it one year at a time. That is a much easier way to look at it vs. thinking of teaching them all through school. They will be starting baseball soon which I think will be a lot of fun for them. Gunner and Tucker are both in Karate right now. Tucker is an orange belt and Gunner is a yellow belt. They are really cute to watch!

Welcome to my very first blog entry ever!
Hmmmm.....what to say......I keep very busy with my children and my wedding design business. I also try to make time for other crafty activities (basket weaving, scrapbooking, gardening, you name it). I have a great husband too who manages at Costco during the day and wrestles with the boys at night.
My boys are Tucker, Gunner, and Calvin....(I am getting tired just thinking of them). They are all three completely busting at the seams with energy. My little girl is Raegan. We all call her Rae-rae. She is a bundle of cuddly-gooeyness. She also has a set of lungs on her that you wouldn't believe!
Well, I've never been too good at keeping a journal but I am excited to update this and see what everyone else is doing.
