Chris and I went to Homer this last weekend. It was a really nice time together without the kiddos (big thanks to Marie, Mom and Dad, Klint and Calli, and Kris!) We happened to choose a weekend when they were feeding the Eagles. "The Eagle Lady" died this year and in honor of her they extended the feeding season for awhile. But I think this is going to be the last winter that they do it. http://www.baldeagleinfo.com/eagle/JeanKeene.html But anyway, there were so many eagles everywhere! And they would let you get so close to them! It was almost as if they enjoyed getting their pictures taken. :) Seeing the eagles was a great bonus to an already great weekend.
